Membership in the 11th Department

Membership in the 11th Department means joining a global community of Haitians and Friends of Haiti working together to support diaspora-led initiatives and practical solutions—through collaboration, coordination, and real projects.

As a member, you gain access to tools and communities organized by Regions, Sectors, and Nonprofit Ecosystems, so you can participate actively, contribute your skills, stay informed, or support the work you care about

You can choose your membership level based on:

  • how active or passive you want to be
  • the tools you want access to
  • your visibility needs (especially for nonprofits and businesses)

Membership Levels

Each membership level includes different features and tools. Compare plans below and choose the one that fits you best.

How will 11th Department funds be used?

Membership fees help operate and improve the 11th Department platform and support the work of the organization. Funds may be used for:

  • Platform hosting, development, security, and maintenance
  • Community moderation and member support
  • Staff and operational expenses (tools, materials, communications)
  • Legal, compliance, and regulatory costs
  • Supporting and amplifying diaspora-led projects and initiatives

A significant portion of funds will be directed toward supporting projects prioritized by regional communities and approved through the organization’s governance process.

We are committed to transparency. The 11th Department will provide clear reporting on funds collected through memberships, donations, grants, and other sources.

When available, project updates and funding summaries will be posted publicly.
