The 11th Department helps members and organizations:

• Connect across Diaspora Regions, Sectors, and Nonprofit Ecosystems
• Share ideas and identify priorities through discussion and collaboration
• Develop initiatives into structured projects with clear goals and accountability
• Mobilize support through partnerships, membership contributions, and community engagement
• Highlight progress through updates, communication, and transparent reporting

Projects and priorities are shaped by the community—starting at the regional and sector level—where members discuss needs, propose solutions, and align around what matters most.

The organization’s role is to support this process by providing:

• structure and coordination
• tools for communication and collaboration
• responsible project organization and follow-through
• transparency around activities and resource use

Our focus is to serve the interests of the Haitian diaspora and Haiti through organized participation and accountable action.

We are not here to replace nonprofits, local leaders, or existing institutions. The 11th Department exists to strengthen coordination—helping people work together, reduce fragmentation, and focus attention on projects that can be executed and sustained.
