Daniel Laurent, is a Haitian-born educator and curriculum developer with a Master’s in Education from Harvard. With more than 20 years of teaching and leadership experience in the U.S., Daniel has been a champion of native-language education.
After the 2010 earthquake, he founded the Network of Kreyol Schools in Haiti, including the flagship Lekol Antoine Thurel, which provides tuition-free, high-quality education centered on Haitian Creole. His innovative approach has achieved results on par with Haiti’s top private schools, proving the power of teaching in students’ native language.
